Life

My shy little girl overcome a major hurdle last week. She got on stage at church and sang the songs she has learned with her class all summer on wed. nights. I was amazed as she walked in to the sanctuary with he class, waved at us and then went and performed. I recorded the songs and so glad I did. I was not able to take pics due to Brandon having to take Brock out. He would not be quiet for anything. We had talked the night before and told her no one was watching her, they would watch the other kids. I honestly did not think she would do it, but she did! You don't understand how huge this was for her unless you know her well. Later that evening at home, we were telling her how proud we are of her, and she told us how nervous she was before singing. We reassured her about that and told her mommy and daddy get nervous having to get in front of people too. We have been on the go it seems lik everyday. Keira is back full swing into preschool and loving it. As we are walking to the car one day, a boy from her class was already loaded in his car and he started pecking on the window and waved at her. I think she was embarrased. I asked what his name was and she replied "I don't know, but I played with him today" It was so cute!! Brock has been sleeping in a toddler bed and doing well. He does still wake up some nights and I guess this is really an issue for me anymore. You just get use to getting up and it becomes routine. Frustrating at times, yes, but you do what you got to do. Keira and I still sleep in her bed and who knows how long this will last? The kids are pretty good playmates and they like pretending they are a mommy and daddy and use all Keira's babies and stuffed animals as their kids. Comical to watch. They like for Brandon and I to be their "babies" and Brock tries to change our diapers. He is a stinker! Keira enjoys being the "boss" and telling Brock what to do, most of the time he does what she says. Keira is on a kick about wanting a big brother. I think she gets this off tv shows and friends at school that have older brothers. She asks me all the time if she can have one, I explain everytime why this isn't possible unless we adopt. She wants us to adopt! We tell her God gave her to us first and that is special, but she doesn't really care at this point. HA! Brock now says big brother, of course he just copys his big sister. Even though parenting and staying at home has been the biggest challenge I have ever faced, I wouldn't trade it for anything in this world. There are moments I think I might actually lose my mind and then moments that I can't believe how happy I am. Life was never meant to be a bed of roses and thanfully I have a Savior who gets me through each and every day, even in those moments when I don't deserve His grace and mercy, which is quite often. How blessed I am! Photobucket

Sweet Keira, I am so proud of you. I have to get in front of a lot of people and talk tomorrow, and I am very nervous. My boss and her boss will be there!

Maddie Grace told her teacher that she is going to get a baby sister when she's done with her brother.
