Payday

Payday is growing fast and is now over 3 pounds. He loved this box and took his afternoon nap in it. Just like a kid, loves playing with boxes. He is a mess! Payday has no fear of Lucky now and attacks her, and aggravates her as much as possible. He likes to hide under the bed and jump out at our legs as we walk by. He has started sleeping at night with Keira and I. Sometimes, I have to put him out and shut the door because he will start attacking us.

Keira received this handmade apron, complete with small utensils and ovenmitt, and the chef hat from Mamaw's Peggy's sister-in-law and brother. We made brownies and she loved it!!

Keira's 4th B-day Party

We celebrated Keira's 4th birthday which is on the 27th with family and friends this morning at Pump it Up. She did this last year and wanted to do it again. We had a blast! All the kids played hard and so did alot of the big kids! Keira's shirt is one she designed and Mamaw Sherry and her made it together. I absoloutely love this pic!! What beautiful ladies, not only on the outside, but more importantly on the inside. Keira loves all her family(even if she doesn't show it often) and is so blessed to be surrounded by such loving families.

Our cousins Christy and Emma. Emma just celebrated her 3rd b-day and we were so happy we could celebrate at her party last weekend and that they could come help celebrate Keira's. They live in Florida and have been visiting this past week.

Cake time

Keria picked out Hello Kitty this yr as a theme. I was kinda surprised as she hasn't shown any interest in this yet. We loved the cupcake cake and she did a great job choosing this one. Maybe because it had a purse and mirror on it...ha! She was totally embarrased by everyone singing to her and I overheard her telling Brandon about it tonight as he was asking her about her day. I love the sweet look in the last pic above!

Practice

My posts are out of order, the one under this should have went first. Oh, well! This was after the first attempt and after everyone was on stage practicing the ceremony, etc. No one was watching her, so she happily practiced being a flower girl.

Flower Girl

These pics got out of order, but you get the idea. This was Friday evening and she only made it a few feet down the aisle. Then she sat in the pew. She asked me "Why are the bridesmaids watching me?" She does not like being the center of attention or thinking all eyes are on her. We talked thorughout the evening about it, and she said "I will do it at the real thing tomorrow"

Sat. rolls around and she doesn't want to be the flower girl. So, I made the call. Katie and Elijah were so sweet to ask her and we told her it was an honor to be in someone's wedding, etc. We went to the wedding and she wore the dress, but was glad she didn't have to walk the aisle.

VBS 2009

I cannot get more than 3 or 4 pics to upload. I don't understand why and have tried different things, but nothing has worked. So, here is a few shots of Keira in action at VBS. She has been goign this week at my mom's church and loves it. The first night she was stuck to me like glue, since it was a new church and all strangers to her. By tonight, I was able to leave her class and walk Brock around to keep him busy.

I think playing on the playground is one of her favorite times, besides music.

Prayer Request

Please add Ronnie, Brandon's dad, to your prayer journal, prayer list, prayers, etc. On August 4th he will be having surgery to remove the rest of his cancer. This will take place at Vanderbilt. The doctor feels like the treatment has done all it can and the next step is surgery. The place is very small, but it will be a difficult surgery. Prayer is a powerful thing and we have seen first hand how God has worked in Ronnie's life with this cancer.

pre-4th

While I went to run tuesday evening, daddy took the kids and purchased smoke bombs and sparklers. They loved it! Brock was just happy as could be running through the smoke and laughing. I don't know how they could stand the smell and it was making their eyes burn, but they kept doing it. Wed. evening after church we had to finish the smoke bombs. Brock wanted more and more and kept asking for them after we ran out.

Brock with his first sparkler! I was nervous about him holding them, but he does pretty well. We have to keep reminding him to hold them out and not try and blow them.

Keira looks awfully close to daddy's car.......he must have not noticed. HA!!!
