Katie's Bridal Shower
Keira and I had the privilege of helping out (we didn't do much) with Katie's bridal shower. She and Elijah Hixson will be maried in July and Keira was asked to be the flower girl. We are thrilled for them. They are such a wonderful couple, but most importantly, are starting marriage off on the right foot, both being dedicated Christians. They are 2 incredible Christians and are so devoted to the Lord. I know God will use them for His Kingdom. Elijah's mother, Rachel and Mamaw Sherry decorated using a beach theme. Everything was so pretty!

Keira helped put out the tiny umbrellas and shells. Above is the recipie book for the newlyweds. Katie likes to cook and she got several recipies to help her out!! It was a great afternoon and we look forward to the wedding.

Tina and Tara, beautiful ladies, preparing the punch.
Katie with her soon to be mother-in-love, her mother, her soon to be grandmother, and soon to be step-mother-in-love
Ms. Aileen ( I probably spelled this wrong) with Katie. This will be her first "Granddaughter", she has only grandsons.

t-ball
Mamaw and I took Keira to her t-ball game saturday morning. The day we left for vacation was suppose to be the last game she got to play in b/c I went and sat down after standing in the field behind her, and she started crying. Brandon got onto her and said she was finished playing. Well, I asked her this past week if she wanted to play, and she said "yes." I talked daddy into giving her another try. She didn't want daddy or papaw to come to her game, so Brandon said that was fine with him. He was still kinda not happy that I wanted to let her play after we told her no more. But, she is only 3! So, off we went. She played great!!! She hit the ball well, fielded awesome!!
Keira's coaches let Brock join in the fun. He did not bat, but played the field. He loves it! He was giving five's to the coaches and saying "ready." He actually chased down one ball before the older kids beat him to it. This one will have no problems playing. I did stand in the outfield this game, but was able to sit down and Keira was fine. She is still so attached at the cord!!!

Awana Awards
Before the service. Nervous???
Ms. Joyce is the cubbies leader and she is a jewel. You will never come across a more dedicated lady who serves the Lord with all she has. I had to stay many a night in cubbies, since my child is still attached at the cord, and Ms. Joyce has more patience and kindness than most people would with 3 and 4 yr olds who are bouncing around and making noises, etc while she is trying to get them all to do the activities in cubbies. She deserves a huge award!! Ms. Angie is the Awana Commander and she is truly the best leader anyone could pick for their children's programs. She does more work than people realize and it takes alot of her time and you never hear her complain. She loves these kids like they are her own. You never see this lady with out a smile or kind word and she is someone you are just happy to be around. She lights up the room. If you notice, my child is not on the stage, because she wanted me to go up with her. I refused. Ms. Joyce tried to get her to come up, but she wouldn't budge. When awards are handed out, she goes and gets hers and comes back to the pew. I am a security for her.
After it as all over, she happily goes ont he stage so I can take her picture with her bear she received for completeing her book. She said memory verses every wed. and they receive patches to put on the vest.
Little man just had to wear his rainboots, and ya know what? It is not worth the battle to try and change his mind.
Mother's Day
We started off Mother's Day at church and today was Baby Dedication. Even though we did this last year, we asked to re-dedicate Brock, since last year at this time was not a pleasant experience for our family and our present church family. I wanted to do this again under better circumstances and in a church that is following God's Word and under peaceful conditions. It was a wonderful morning in church and our pastor preached a sermon that really showed us mothers what we should be doing and why. Raising children has nothing to do with us, and we are selfish if we think this way. I have failed so much in the 4 yrs that I have been a mother and have so much to improve on.
After church we went to Papaw and Mamaws and enjoyed a great day. The kids rode in the car and Brock is just happy being the passenger and letting Keira boss him around. They rode over to Uncle Tim and Aunt She-She's and saw the chickens and the horses. After nap time, since we didn't have evening service, we went to visit my mom and the kids had a ball at her house.
I hope Keira is always her brothers protector.
Sweet babies! Is this a picture of what it may be like in 12 yrs? Except she will not be driving an Escalade.

Check this out
http://resolved2worship.xanga.com/
This woman's blog is incredible!! I mainly "stalk" it to see her pictures, they are some of the best I have ever seen. But her writing is awesome also. She is a Christian and writes wonderfully. Her family lives in California and they are expecting baby # 7. I am so intrigued with her and how she seems to have it all together. She is my age (31) and homeschools and lives for Jesus. Big families intrigue me. I cannot even imagine being my age and getting ready to deliver baby 7. She is a beautiful lady and her children are gorgeous. If you have a few minutes check out her blog. It is worth a look!

Fun night
Notice how far apart the kids are. The train was the very first ride we did and Brock wouldn't go without me.

Pool
Our first full day at the beach. The weather is warm, but today it was cloudy. It actually makes for an almost perfect play day if you don't care about tanning. I didn't take any beach pics this morning, but managed some poolside. As the kids are napping as I type this, we are experiencing a heavy thunderstorm. Brock was happy with the dollar water bottles I bought for the kids to play with. Why is it that the least expensive things are what they seem to play witht he most? LOL
Told ya he loves the cheap water bottle. Keira finally will use the arm floats, which has allowed her to roam the pool.
This cat was roaming around outside and surprisingly went right up to the pool. We saw 2 cats poolside and they are friendly as I went to pet this one and took some up close pics of her. She appears to be too skinny and I assume is a stray.
I plan on taking beach pics tomorrow, weather permitting. :)
