Watching Sissy

It won't be long till your out here with us.

Batting Practice

Keira is really into batting right now and we have to do this every night. She is actually good at it and we have tried to show her the proper way to stand, swing, etc but she claims to know all this and frankly she isn't too far off. This just comes natural to her.....must get it from me. HA!!!!
The shirt came off due to juice split on it, just be glad the rest of her clothes stayed on.
I love the intensity and how focused she becomes when attempting anything in sports.
Obviously not happy about how she hit the ball. You will do better next time slugger! Around 8:30 I tried to get her to go inside, but she refused saying she needed to practice. She kept saying "But mom.." which is her new thing to tell me, but after a little spanking she changed he mind.

Sunday

Church this morning was AWESOME!!! We had a total of 115 in attendance with 12 people missing due to vacations or work. So, we will be starting GRACE COMMUNITY with a great number. Which if you look around Roane County, that is more than alot of churches have that have been established for years. Not that numbers matter, but starting out from scratch, it was good to see. Our fellowship was sweet and you could feel the love of Christ around us all. Brother Paul had an excellent sermon and our music was good. We even had a baptism in the lake! Praise the Lord!!!

Saturday

I have not taken many pics this week - don't know why, just one of those weeks. I have so many ups and downs the past few weeks, that one could say I was distracted from pictures. Some of the ups the past week include - last saturday evening I had 3 friends come over for a girls night (no husbands, no kids) which was awesome. I had such a great time and it was something we each needed. I hope we can make it a regular event. My babies are always my bright spots - the things they are learning, the looks they give me, the hugs and kisses I receive, make everything seem like it will be okay when we are going through a trial. My grandfather, there was an article in the Knoxville News-Sentinel yesterday, got to take a trip to DC honoring World War 2 veterans on Wed. What an awesome occasion and as I read the article, he was mentioned and it gave a little background info, I started crying. Not sure why...maybe tears of joy, tears from his response to a question a lady asked him, tears of saddness over what he witnessed (it is not something he has ever shared), tears of happiness over how proud I am of him. The downside of the past few weeks has been over our church and what transpired. I have seen such an ugly side of people who say they are Christians but did not act in any such manner. I have seen women who are suppose to be my examples of a Christian woman yell in people's faces, screaming inside the church building, so angry that I thought they may explode. I have lost all respect for some people. I have no ill feelings or hatred toward anyone but am saddened at how Satan has used them in his plot. I pray that the blinders will be removed. I have seen families torn apart, heard unbelievable rumors about what our preacher was supposedly saying in the pulpit, I have felt tension and oppression inside our church building, I have seen people befriending others to win a vote, people turning church into what they believe and what they want, not what God wants or what His word says. Wed. night it came to a conclusion and our pastor has chosen to leave and we are starting a new church. Yes, people say we are following the pastor, but that is not true. He was approached about beginning a new church and he accepted, it was not like he said okay I am leaving and you all follow me. The opposition group got what they wanted and if they choose to not believe in the Doctrines of Grace, so be it, but as for me and my family, we will obey God's word and believe every word in the Bible. I have enough to answer for before the Lord and I don't want to answer why I rebelled against Him during this time. But, oh the joy of being in a pure church, being a sovereign grace church, and the opportunity that may be in store to reach others. Only God knows what tomorrow holds, and this church may not make it -but we are willing and able to work. It will be a hard road to begin a new church from scratch, but if God is for us - who can be against us? We are even having a service tomorrow on the lake and I am so excited about that, to walk into a service and not wonder what is going to happen or be said, or what looks we might receive, just simply to go and worship My Redeemer, and to surrender it all to Him and lean on His arms. Oh Glory! What an Awesome God we serve and how humbling to think He chose us before the foundation of the world for this moment. Knowing I could never do enough good works, that apart from Him I am nothing, that my sinful flesh would not seek him, unless He chose to call me. Praise the Lord! Jesus is King and I will never back down on this. Nothing can separate us from Him - try as they may. There has been so many positives come out of this situation and one thing I am certian is that all the supporters who are leaving Shiloh have become bold and will do what is necessary to defend the Word. Thank You Lord for this strength when a few years ago I would have put my tail between my legs and run.

Day of Firsts

Brock tried banana today at the park. This is huge since the past few months he wouldn't eat any solid food, only wanting his bottle. He actually didn't gag, so maybe he is learning real food is good!
He held his bottle - finally!!! He has been lazy about this and my take is he thought why should I hold it when someone else will do the work for me. I know this is not a big deal, but to us it is. He also drank a full bottle of whole milk today and didn't complain about it. I started last week with this and he wasn't sure about it. He has also been riding forward in the carseat for a couple weeks also. Next thing you know, he will be walking.

Park

We had a picnic at the park today with Mamaw and Papaw Leffew. The kids had a great time playing and were so tired when we left. Neither one fought nap time today.

Backyardigans

Brandon and I took Keira to her first live show last night at the TN Theater in Knoxville. The Backyardigans is one of her favorites. She enjoyed the show and seemed to be in amazement. She was happy as a lark siting in her chair eating popcorn. I thought she would be up dancing and singing but she didn't do that until the end of the production. Brandon and I enjoyed watching her wave at the characters and yellung " Hey, Egg." We had a great family night!! A BIG,BIG Thank YOU to my favorite in-loves, who drove to Turkey Creek, and brought us our tickets that mommy had forgot at home. We sat down for dinner and Brandon asked me about the tickets and I said "Uh-oh" He kept saying are you serious? He thought I was kidding at first, but this is something I am very bad about when we have an event with tickets. The memories we make!!

11 months

Brock turned 11 months on Sunday. How time flies! I feel like I was just in the hospital having him. He is learning so many new things each day. He is ready to walk but not yet balanced enough, he tries to say so many words and is a snuggler. He is very social and will let most anyone hold him. He adores Keira and looks at her with such affection. He just brings so much joy to our family. Now the only things I cannot figure out about him is this: he will not hold his bottle, will not drink from a cup, and will not eat food. How many 11 months old do you know that will not do these simple tasks. Sometimes I think, well why would he want to hold a bottle, when he has someone to do it for him. The food issue it what stumps me. He will turn his head and gets mad, I end up shoving things into his mouth and he acts like he doesn't like it or gags. I don't know what to do. We go to the doctor Tuesday so I have plenty of questions for him. Other than these things, life is easy with him.

Wii action

Keira led everyone in cheers for the person who was playing. It was so funny! Then we cheered for her and she would look around to make sure we all were cheering and clapping. It felt good to laugh this hard.

Sunday

Brock was dedicated to the Lord today at church, sorry no pics, they were dark. Afterwards, we had family time. Jenna showing Brock how to shoot. We hope little man was paying attention because Jenna is a great player for RCHS. We are already looking forward to watching her this coming year.
Keira's favorite person in the family. Don't get me wrong, she loves everyone, but Allison is her top choice in everything. And it has been this way from the beginning.
Uncle Tyson and his little buddy. Brock has taken up with the men in the family and wants to hang with them more than the women, or so it seems. That's good because he has some good role models to look up to.

Let's Go 4 a Ride

Beginning of the ride. End of the ride.

Keira ran right into daddy's truck. Little man wanted out at this point.

She is reaching for the radio here, and I guess this is what will happen at 16. Must have seen mommy doing this while driving. Well, at least she is not talking on the phone or trying to text behind the wheel.

Christians be warned!

Subject: Message From Missionaries in Kenya About Obama** ** *Celeste and Loren Davis are indeed Missionaries in Africa and can shed somelight on one of our Presidential candidates. If you put their names inGoogle there is much to read including responses from those who choose to not believe what has been written below. I choose to think we Americans need to be very suspicious of this man. We need to get this message out! Please circulate this to all your contacts! This man must not get into office!! *Thanks for sending out an alert about Obama. We We are living and working in Kenya for almost twelve years now and know his family (tribe) well. They are the ones who were behind the recent Presidential election chaos here. Thousands of people have been displaced by election violence (over 350,000) and I don't know the last count of the dead. Obama under "friends of Obama" gave almost a million dollars to the opposition campaign who just happened to be his cousin, Raila Odinga, who is a socialisttrained in east Germany. He has been trying to bring Kenya down for years and the last president threw him in prison for trying to subvert this country! December 27th elections brought cries from ODM (Odinga Camp) of rigged election. Obama and Raila speak daily. As we watch Obama rise in the US we are sure that whatever happens, he will use the same tactic, crying rigged election if he doesn't win and possibly cause a race war in America. What we would like you to know is what the American press has been keeping a dirty little secret. Obama IS a Muslim and he IS a racist and this is a fulfillment of the 911 threat that was just the beginning. Jihad is the only true Muslim way. We have been working with them for 20 years this July! He is not an American as we know it. Please encourage your friends and associates not to be taken in by those that are promoting him. It is world wide jihad. All our friends in Europe are very disturbed by the Muslim infiltration into their countries. By the way, his true name is Barak Hussein Muhammed Obama. Won't that sound sweet to our enemies as they swear him in on the Koran! God Bless you. Pray for us here in Kenya. We are still fighting for our nation to withstand the same kind of assault that every nation, including America, is fighting. Takeover from the outside to fit the new world order. As believers, this means we will be the first targets. Here in Kenya, not one mosque was burned down, but hundreds of churches were burned down, some with people in them, burned alive. Jesus Christ is our peace but the new world order of Globalism has infiltrated the church and confused believers into thinking that they can compromise and survive. It won't be so. I will send you a newsletter we sent out in February documenting in a more cohesive manner what I've tried to say in a few paragraphs. Love, CelesteCeleste and Loren Davis About our Father's business! Luke 2:49b

Eventful Thursday

We had our first trip to the dentist for both kids. Mamaw Sherry and I took them first thing int he morning ans as we all expected, it wasn't pretty. Keira was not cooperating and I had to hold her arms and legs down. Not a pretty picture! No cleaning was done, he only got to count and evaluate her teeth. We will try the cleaning in 6 months. I am thinking she will not do it, because it has taken almost 3 years for her not to scream at her doctor visits. This is just typical of my child, until she decided it is okay, it will be a battle. This is why I don't have any more pics of this trip, the above pic was taken before we went back. Brock did good (no cleaning) just looked at and his back gums are swollen, which means more teething soon. Afterwards we went to a couple stoes, then hit Chik-Fil-A and then headed to a park in Farragut to eat and play.

After naps we went to my moms house and Brock got hi first taste of the grass. He wasn't quite sure at first, but when the cat came over he took off crawling to Buddy.
After supper we once again went outside and played.
